From start to finish, every step of our build-on-your-lot process is designed to provide an exceptional experience for our clients.
Floor plan selection: Building your SEDA home on your lot begins with listening to your needs. A SEDA New Homes expert will meet with you to discuss the features you want in your brand-new home and let you know which of our 18-plus floor plans meet your needs.
Mortgage application: We have preferred lenders who are ready to help you with the processes of pre-loan approval and applying for construction-to-permanent financing.
Lot review: We will meet with you on your lot, where we’ll determine what may be needed to prepare your land for construction of your new home.
Contract signing: In another meeting on your lot, it’s time to sign your contract. Following that, we will begin to draw your house plan.
Interior and exterior selections: At your appointment at our expansive Design Center, our Design Coordinator will assist you in reviewing all of the options you have for the interior and exterior of your new home. Your choices include everything from shingle and siding colors, to cabinets, countertops and flooring material. To better visualize how your choices may look once your home is built, we encourage you to visit one of our communities. Simply make note of any features or finishes you like and our Design Coordinator will be able to look up the specific materials so that you can use them in your new home.
Loan closing: After your meeting at our Design Center and your choices of options have been made, we will finalize your purchase price. Your construction-to-permanent loan can then be closed and we will begin the construction process.
Home building: While your new home is being built, our field specialist is on-site throughout every step of your new home’s construction.
Orientation: You will meet at your new home with our field specialist, who will help you become familiarized with your home’s systems, products, and features.
Closing appointment: You will receive your warranty information and sign your final home acceptance document. Your new home is ready and waiting for you to move in!
