SEDA New Homes proudly supported the Nassau Humane Society with a large monetary donation and more than 100 pounds of pet food collected during its 4th Annual SEDA Christmas Pet Food Drive. “The Nassau Humane Society holds a very special place in our hearts,” said Linda Semanik, Vice President of Sales at SEDA New Homes. “They may be a smaller organization, but the impact they make for animals in our community is truly remarkable.”
As a no-kill shelter, the Nassau Humane Society works tirelessly to place animals in loving homes and often rescues pets from other shelters when space is available, giving them a second chance at life. Throughout the holiday season, SEDA collected pet food, toys, and supplies at its model homes. Those who donated had a chance to win a $500 gift card. This year’s winner was Ric, who kindly donated his winnings to the Nassau Humane Society. “We were truly moved by this generous and selfless decision to donate his winnings,” says Semanik. In addition to these donations, Semanik presented a large check to support the shelter’s ongoing efforts. “Our pets are part of our families,” Semanik added. “They bring joy, comfort, and unconditional love, and we’re honored to support an organization that does so much for animals in need.”
